Based out of Los Angeles and London, Laury Smith is a stylist, fashion editor and costume designer with over 15 years’ experience.
After having been fashion editor on a number of British and US magazines including Flaunt, Laury is a sought-after member of the Costume Design Guild.
As style director for The X Factor, Laury costumed over 150 performances on the show, which reached over 12.5 million viewers. Laury was also the costume designer on the hit show, American Idol.
Laury has worked on many music videos and tours, and has styled stars such as Lady Gaga for Poker Face, Khloe Kardashian, Britney Spears and Kanye West. She has worked with directors including Ray Kay, Chris Applebaum, Matthew Donaldson, Jake Nava and Alan Ferguson, amongst others – and photographers including Rankin, Greg Lotus and Michael Muller.
Laury regularly works on advertising campaigns and has styled commercials for brands such Target, Coca Colas, Carl’s Junior with Paris Hilton, Kate Upton & Emily Rajakowaski and fashion brands Guess, Neiman Marcus, French Connection and Amanda Wakeley.
Laury graduated with honours in fashion journalism from the London College of Fashion.
